An alum of the National School of Drama in 1971, she had worked with the NSD Repertory Company for longer than 10 years prior to moving base to Mumbai. She is their little girl Heeba Shah’s maternal auntie. Heeba went about as the more youthful variant of her auntie’s person Dadisa in the TV sequential Balika Vadhu.
