According to Microsoft’s statement, the company earned $ 46.2 billion in revenue in the last 3 months. This number increased by 21% compared to the same period of the previous year. The profit of the company from its revenue of 46.2 billion dollars was announced as 16.5 billion dollars. There was a 47% increase in profit compared to the same period of the previous year.
Microsoft Misleads Estimates with Earned Revenue
Microsoft’s revenue in the last quarter was significantly higher than the forecasts made by analysts. However, this did not have the expected effect on the company’s shares. Investors must have gotten used to the company’s revenue always being higher than analyst estimates; Microsoft stock fell 2.5%.
Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella, shared a statement about the revenue. “The results show that we achieve growth when we work well in large and growing markets and compare customers’ needs in different ways,” Nadella said in his statement.
