Taylor Swift are going to be returning to her country roots!
The singer, 30, is about to sing “betty” during the Academy of country and western Awards on Wednesday, marking the primary performance of the song since she surprise-released her eighth album folklore on July 24.
In August, the two-time ACM entertainer of the year winner introduced “betty” on country radio and shared the meaning behind her single, which revealed the name of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ third daughter Betty, who was born in October 2019.
“[James] has lost the love of his life basically and doesn’t understand the way to catch on back. i feel we all have these situations in our lives where we learn to actually , really provides a heartfelt apology for the primary time,” Swift explained. “Everybody makes mistakes, everybody really messes up sometimes and this is often a song that I wrote from the attitude of a 17-year-old boy. I’ve always loved that in music you’ll kinda slip into different identities and you’ll sing from other people’s perspectives. So that is what I did on this one.”
The last time Swift made an appearance at the ACM Awards was in 2015. She previously made her awards show debut at the ACMs in 2007 when she performed her first hit “Tim McGraw.”

Swift added, “I’m so happy, so happy I learned to write down songs during a town like Nashville. I’m so grateful that I learned what diligence is from my heroes who are all sitting here. and i am so unbelievably proud that I learned to treat people with kindness and respect from country and western . i really like you such a lot .”

Taylor Swift’s Folklore album doesn’t land from Billboard 200
Taylor Swift, who listened to 500 million times on digital platforms during the first week of her release with her eighth album Folklore in July, has the title of being the most streamed album among female artists, and does not come out on the Billboard 200 list. There is an expectation that Swift will break Whitney Houston’s record and make music history.
The world-famous singer Taylor Swift does not come off the top with her new studio album Folklore. The 30-year-old singer has been at number one for six weeks on the Billboard 200, the world’s most important music list, determined weekly by album sales.
The album sold 90,000 last week, making it the number one album since rap singer Drake’s Views album remained at the top for 13 consecutive weeks in 2016.
Taylor Swift is expected to break the records of Adele and then Whitney Houston with her album Folklore, which has not descended from the top for six weeks and has maintained its popularity. Houston, who passed away in 2012, stayed at number one on the Billboard 200 chart for 46 weeks, making her music history, followed by British singer Adele with 34 weeks. While Houston still holds the record for women, the overall record is in the hands of the Beatles with 132 weeks.
Swift’s Folklore album reached over 80 million streams on Spotify in the first 24 hours alone. With this rise, folklore, which took the title of being the most listened album among female artists, also broke a record in Apple Music.
Reaching more than 35 million streams on the Apple Music side, the album upset the daily statistics of the platform. The album, vinyl and CD prints, which attract attention with the sales of physical copies as well as digital prints, exceeded 1.5 million sales.
