Daniel Correa Freitas sent his friend the pictures taken in bed with a woman named Cristina Brittes at the New Year’s Eve party, but these pictures were taken by Brittes’ wife Edison.

Edison also admitted that he killed Freitas after the photos came to hand, cut off his genitals, and threw him into the woods. Edison said in his court statement that he killed Daniel for attempting to rape his wife. Edison said that he burst into the room when he heard screams coming from his wife’s room and saw Freitas trying to rape his wife. However, the work done by the detectives proved the murder suspect’s statements wrong. As a result of the samples taken from the woman and the examinations, no evidence of rape was found. The court ordered that the defendants be held in pre-trial detention and that the evidence related to the case be expanded.
