Highlights from Spider-Man No Way Home Trailer

We have prepared all the details for you that you may have missed in the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer.

The trailer of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the third movie in the Spider-Man series starring Tom Holland, has been released. We have listed the details that you may have missed in the trailer of the new movie, which is full of surprises and secrets.

The trailer of Marvel’s new movie Spider-Man: No Way Home, which will be released on December 17, has been released. As you know, we had the chance to see some images from this trailer before thanks to the video published on TikTok yesterday, but this time the trailer was officially released by Sony.

This movie, in which we once again see Tom Holland in the lead role and whose cast includes names such as Benedict Cumberbatch and Zendaya, has one of the most secretive scenarios ever. If you wish, let’s go over the details that we may have overlooked in the trailer once again in order to break this veil of secrecy a little bit.

Peter Parker wants his identity forgotten

Before moving on to the details in the trailer, let’s point out that this content has the potential to contain a lot of spoilers. When we watch the trailer, we see that Peter Parker’s identity is revealed, and now everyone knows who the real Spider-Man is. Wanting to change this situation, Parker seeks help from Master of Mystical Arts Doctor Strange. According to Doctor Strange, this spell is not easy, so Parker needs some work to achieve his goal.

In the comics, Peter Parker challenges Iron Man and SHRA, reveals his identity to the world, and then transforms into a hero who lives a life on the run. Things get even hotter when King Pin shoots May Parker and Peter is forced to make a deal with the evil Mephisto. As a result of the agreement with Mephisto, a spell is cast and the whole world forgets that Peter Parker is Spider-Man.

It’s unclear if we’ll see the same progression in Spider-Man: No Way Home, because judging by the trailer’s trajectory, Spider-Man is still a superhero backed by Happy Hogan and Nick Fury thanks to the Sokovia Agreement. Also, Doctor Strange says “Be careful what you wish for, Parker” against Peter Parker’s request to forget his identity, which shows that things will get a little messy.

One of the other highlights in the trailer is Peter Parker being accused of murder by Mysterio. Of course, this will only be a small part of the movie because there are many other issues Marvel has to deal with, such as the multiverse.

Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin and Electro return

In the last scene of the trailer, Doctor Octopus, played by Alfred Molina, shows that he will be in trouble for Parker by saying “Hello Parker”. At the same time, the return of Green Goblin and Electro to the movie proves that Peter Parker will travel between multiple universes and encounter a lot of bad guys while trying to get home.

As we saw in Avengers: Infinity War, Doctor Strange could scan millions of universes in seconds and see in which universe they would defeat Thanos. The inclusion of Strange in Spider-Man also raises the question of whether Strange will be able to find a universe where no one knows Peter Parker’s identity.

Let everyone know that there is a cost to casting magic in the Marvel universe. Therefore, if Doctor Strange can help Peter Parker with magic and find another universe so that his identity will be forgotten, the universes may be mixed and the logic we call the multiverse may merge into a single universe. Here, the old Spider-Mans Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire, who are said to be in the movie for a long time, come into play. If, as predicted, the multiverse needs to unite in order for Peter Parker’s identity to be forgotten, there’s a good chance we’ll see our previous Spider-Mans.

Confusion with Spider-Man Multiverses

What immediately caught our attention in our trailer is that we only have one Spider-Man. The rumors that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, whom we have talked about for a long time, will appear in the third movie, are now a little less. But it never ends. Because maybe they have little cameos and Marvel may not have wanted to reveal them from the first trailer. Still, considering that we have huge expectations for Spider-Man: No Way Home, we can easily say that this trailer met the majority of expectations.

No Way Home is about an adventure that begins with Mysterio revealing Peter Parker’s true identity in the previous movie. Of course, when we said Sinister Six, Multiverse, three Spider-Man, we completely forgot about it. The universe now has a Peter Parker, whose secret identity has been revealed at the beginning of his superhero years. Of course, that means a huge problem. Peter knocks on Doctor Strange’s door as Tony won’t ask for help from his older brother. Of course, Doctor Strange wants to help Peter with a solution that Tony Stark would never have thought of. But this brings its own problems.

First of all, let’s give a break here and underline that this story is very similar to an event that has been covered in comics before. Thus, we realize how absurd this act of Doctor Strange is and we continue. Spider-Man, who took the side of Iron Man during the events of Civil War in the comics, came to the throttle of Tony Stark and at one point shouts his true identity to the world, just like Tony. But Peter, who soon realizes that this is not a good decision at all, loses Aunt May. Although they knock on the door of heroes such as Iron Man and Doctor Strange to bring Aunt May back, these heroes, who are sane individuals, do not attempt such a task. Later, Peter’s path leads to Mephisto’s door.

Mephisto tells Peter Parker that he can bring Aunt May back. But she says that this will pay off and that Mary Jane, whom she was married at the time, will forget herself. Peter accepts this and finds himself returning to a reality where he is not married to Mary Jane, but where his Aunt May lives.

Now at this point I have only one objection. How does Doctor Strange accept this evil that a demonic being like Mephisto does in the comics by pretending to help? I really don’t understand how such a reckless act was treated as Doctor Strange. This event deals a great blow to Doctor Strange’s journey to become the spiritual leader of the Avengers in the new phase. But I hope this story closes in itself and does not connect to Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness. It’s a really bad decision.

On the other hand, while describing the Spider-Man: One More Day comic book, it caught your attention. The story in the comic book and a detail in the trailer are handled very close to each other. That’s Spider-Man, the girl he loves forgets about him. It’s been rumored for a long time that Zendaya has become too big of a name just to play the role of Spider-Man’s love interest. That’s why there were rumors that Zendaya would gradually leave. Maybe with this movie, our Peter will lose his beloved MJ and Zendaya will gradually retire from Spider-Man movies. Say what?

Another topic is of course Sinister Six! While we debate amongst ourselves, “I wonder if the Sinister Six members will be this or that”, it seems like Marvel and Sony have managed to gather the original Sinister Six members into a single movie. In the movie where Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin and Mysterio are exhibited in small parts, we have the opportunity to take a closer look at Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus from the eyes of the world once again. And we are officially back to our childhood!

Well, I’ve been humming Spider-Man ever since I watched the trailer. Because even though I had one or two objections, I was still excited like crazy. I can say that the trailer almost met my expectations. What’s up with you, dear geeks? Coming to the comments now!
