Sony acquires Bluepoint Games from PlayStation Stuidos
Sony has acquired Bluepoint Games from PlayStation Stuidos. Bluepoint Games, the company that has been providing PlayStation exclusive productions for years, undertaking remakes of games and developing games such as Shadow of the Colossus and Demon’s Souls, came under the umbrella of PlayStation Studios.
The long awaited acquisition has finally come true. PlayStation announced that it has acquired Bluepoint Games. Hermen Hulst, the head of PlayStation Studios, announced the development on PlayStation’s website.
In the post of PlayStation on Twitter, “Meet the next member of the PlayStation Studios family…” and shared a video containing the games of Bluepoint Games.
Developers of critically acclaimed remakes join the PlayStation Studios family. Hermen Hulst gave the following words in his statement:

From the outstanding PS5 remake of Demon’s Souls to remasters of fan favorites like Shadow of the Colossus and Uncharted : The Nathen Drake Collection. With the purchase, the first details about the studio’s next game emerged. Speaking to IGN, Bluepoint Games President Marco Thrush announced that they want to work on original ideas from now on, that is, they will take a break from remaster or remake projects, at least for now.
