Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Debuts for PC with 65K Instant Players
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered PC version reached 65,000 instant players at the end of its release weekend, but this number was not enough to refresh the record for Sony.
First-party Sony games keep coming to the PC platform. Marvel’s Spider-Man, which was released for PlayStation 4 in 2018 and remastered for PS5 in 2020, was released for PC as of August 12. According to the Steam database, although Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered managed to reach approximately 65,000 instant players on Steam at the end of the release weekend, it could not break the record among Sony’s PC games.
God of War, which was ported to PC earlier this year, became the most played game on Steam, breaking a record among first-party games for PlayStation, with approximately 75,000 instant players at the end of its release weekend. Spider-Man Remastered lagged behind that with about 65,000 instant players, but it became Sony’s second-largest game released for PC.

Marvel’s Spider-Man, developed by Insomniac Games, was released exclusively for PlayStation 4 in 2018. The production, which was among the best games of PS4 and won the title of “best superhero game” by many critics, was later re-released with a remaster version for PS5 in 2020. The PC version of Spider-Man Remastered was created in collaboration with Insomniac Games and Sony’s recently acquired Nixxes Software, which specializes in PC ports. The game includes many NVIDIA technologies such as DLSS and RTX (ray tracing), as well as various innovations such as ultra-wide monitor support.
So far looks like Spider-Man Remastered will be the 2nd Biggest Launch for PlayStation Studios on Steam / PC. God of War may get to keep the crown
