21-year-old Senegalese Khabane Lame became the second user to surpass 100 million subscribers on the video sharing application TikTok.
TikTok, one of the most popular video sharing applications in the world, is one of the indispensable social media especially for young people.
Senegalese Khabane Lame, who lives in Chivasso, Italy and opened a TikTok account in March 2020, reached 108.8 million followers in 17 months, making TikTok history and becoming the second user to exceed the 100 million threshold.
Khabane Lame Tiktok’s Most Popular Man
Lame, who was born in Senegal and immigrated to Italy with his family at the age of 1, has also won the title of TikTok content producer with the fastest growing number of followers and the most followed in Europe.
In an interview with TikTok, Lame said that he was fired at the factory where he worked on March 15, 2020 due to the coronavirus, and that’s when the TikTok adventure began.
Lame stated that he likes to make people laugh since his childhood and that he decided to shoot TikTok videos in his room when he was unemployed.
Also known as the silent comedian, Lame makes sketches that tide TikTok videos that show simple things being done in complex ways. It is also among the information that Lame earns approximately 50 thousand dollars per post.
Lame only uses gestures and facial expressions in his videos and does not speak at all. The title of TikTok’s most followed account belongs to Charli d’Amelio, who has 123.6 million subscribers and a total of 9.8 billion likes.
With a total likes of 1.6 billion, Lame is estimated to be the content producer with the most followers on TikTok, surpassing d’Amelio in a short time.
