Kacey Musgraves Says She Was ‘Kicking the bucket Inside’ Before Split from Ruston Kelly: ‘I Felt Broken’

Kacey Musgraves is thinking back on her separation from Ruston Kelly.
In another meeting with ELLE for the distribution’s June/July 2021 issue, on magazine kiosks June 8, the 32-year-old “Brilliant Hour” vocalist talked about her doomed union with Kelly, whom she split from in July 2020, under three years after they got married (Their separation was finished in September 2020.)
“On the off chance that you would’ve disclosed to me the evening of the Grammys, ‘Hello, in two years, you will be separated and have an entire ‘nother collection composed,’ I would have been similar to, ‘F – off. No. No chance,’ ” said Musgraves, who is delivering her next studio collection not long from now.
Musgraves disclosed to ELLE that while her union with Kelly got going solid, things got ugly once the COVID-19 pandemic kept them detached at home together for quite a long time early a year ago.
“I might have drifted for a few years,” she said, “simply not focusing on my sentiments or not actually managing a few things.”

Musgraves recently talked about her marriage in February, revealing to Rolling Stone that it “just didn’t work out.”
