Instagram announced a new feature that allows Users to Add Pronouns to their Profiles. The ‘Pronouns’ Period in Instagram Profiles Begins. The pronouns feature is available for users on Instagram.
Instagram Adds “Pronouns” to the Profile Page That Users Can Describe Themselves
Seeing more and more users adding a self-describing pronoun to their profile, Instagram added the feature directly to their profile information. However, since pronouns are currently available in a limited number of countries, we cannot find the opportunity to test them in detail.
Instagram, one of the most popular social media applications in the world, has included an application that is extremely popular among users as a new feature. With this feature, users will be able to add their gender directly to their profile information.
Until now, Instagram only requested a limited amount of information from users for the profile page, such as name, username, website (optional), biography (optional). Now, gender has been added to this information indirectly. Seeing that most users post information declaring their gender on their profile, even though there is no such requirement, Instagram seems to have decided to add it directly to their profile information page.
‘Pronouns’ Period Begins on Instagram Profiles
Instagram, one of the most popular photo and video sharing platforms in the world, is preparing to launch the Pronouns feature in order to enable users to express themselves better.
Thanks to the Instagram Pronouns feature, you will be able to put pronouns expressing your gender on your profile. You will be able to choose any pronouns such as she / her, he / him and they / them within the scope of the feature offered in only a few countries for now.
Of course, let’s also mention that you can choose the Turkish of these pronouns when the feature comes into play in our country. If you do not think there is a pronoun that expresses you in the list, you can send a request to Instagram on the subject.
The pronoun you added will appear dimmed right next to your name on your profile. If you do not want to show these pronouns publicly, you will be able to activate the “Show Only to Followers” option. Instagram said this setting will be the default setting for users under the age of 18 and cannot be changed.
The Instagram Pronouns feature is extremely simple to use. First, open the Profile page. Then click Edit Profile. Then hit the Pronouns section and add the pronoun you think will best express you. Finally, choose who can see the pronoun.
