Milwaukee Bucks two MVP award-winning star Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a left knee injury in Game 4 of the NBA Eastern Conference finals.
With 7:14 left in the third quarter, Antetokounmpo hit the ground unevenly in a rebound fight with Hawks center Clint Capela and suffered a stretch in his left knee. The star player, who was left on the ground in pain, was accompanied by his brother Thanasis Antetokounmpo and a staff member as he left the park.
Giannis Antetokounmpo briefly returned to the bench, but went back to the locker room after the Hawks pulled the lead to 20 points. Soon after, the Bucks announced that they would not be returning to the game.
Antetokounmpo’s status for Game 5, which will be played on Thursday night, is not clear.
Trae Young, who was injured in the right ankle in the previous game, was unable to play for the Hawks.
