It’s the official Olympics for the first time at the Tokyo Olympics, and 28-year-old Armanto is one of the favorites in the Women’s Park. Skating is more popular than ever, and the US Olympic champion in the sport could become one of the most lucrative female athletes in the world.

Armanto doesn’t represent the tradition of skateboarding on museum stairs, dodging janitors and filming it all. She started her hobby at a supervised skate park and participated in competitions from the very beginning.

Elizabeth Marika Armanto is an American-Finnish professional skateboarder.
