He was treated at Rebound, a treatment center in West, Florida. Cuban picked up West, who seemed to be begging at an intersection in Dallas last September, from a gas station and extended a helping hand. Cuban has also been noted to help West reconnect with his mother.
Cuban was one of the few people who recently tried to help West, who had clearly stated his diagnosis of bipolar disorder throughout his NBA career.
The 37-year-old West averaged 9.7 points and 3.6 assists during eight NBA seasons in his career playing the Boston Celtics, Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Mavericks, and was most recently in Dallas in the 2011-12 season.
