According to the information in a report released on Wednesday, the US Intelligence Service, the CIA, plans to open a TikTok account in order to reach generation Z.
According to a report shared by Politico, the CIA is looking to soften its shady image as part of an interesting new public relations campaign.
According to the report, the US intelligence service plans to open a TikTok account in addition to its Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts. It is stated that the goal of the CIA here is to reach the Z generation.
The CIA is aiming to gain more followers and likes across all social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, to portray itself as ‘compliant and moderate’, Politico reported.
Candice Bryant, head of the agency’s social media team, said the CIA has increased its social media presence, starting in 2014, to dispel the negative conspiracy theories that have “troubled it” in recent years.
“There are people here who don’t realize we have a softer side. Our audience is really the entire American public,” said Bryant, 37.
“Our goal is to demystify, educate, and then recruit,” Bryant added.
