Hollywood’s famous couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds extended their helping hands to victims after the devastating earthquake in Haiti. The couple donated $10,000 each to each of the four charities working to heal the wounds of the earthquake.
One of those organizations, Hope for Hait, which has supported the people of Haiti for over 30 years, publicly thanked the couple for their donation yesterday via their official social media accounts.
It was learned that the donations of Blake Lively, 34, and Ryan Reynolds, 44, will be used to establish mobile clinics, as determined by the Haitian Ministry of Health. The donation will also reportedly help cover the costs of food delivery from World Central Kitchen.
On August 14, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 occurred in Haiti, 2 thousand 200 people died and 12 thousand people were injured in the earthquake. The Blake and Ryan couple, who have been in the news with their donations before, did not miss Haiti.
In 2019, the couple donated a total of $2 million to two organizations working for refugee children on the US-Mexico border.
In March 2020, due to the corona virus outbreak, the duo donated a total of $1 million to Feeding America and Food Banks Canada, two non-profit organizations that provide safe food aid to those in need.
