The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has acquitted famous comedian Bill Cosby, who was sentenced to prison for sexual assault in 2018.

Famous American comedian Bill Cosby was sentenced to 3 years to 10 years in prison in September 2018 for sexually abusing former basketball player Andrea Constand in 2004. Cosby, 83, filed a second appeal in August last year.
A 79-page decision issued by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court stated that Cosby had not received a fair trial and that “Cosby was released with his conviction overturned.”
Brian W. Perry, one of Cosby’s lawyers, said that his client was released from prison that afternoon and was on his way to his home in Philadelphia.
More than 60 women in the United States have filed charges of sexual harassment against Cosby after Cosby was found guilty of sexual harassment against a woman named Constand, who spent more than two years in prison.
